A peak of 623 km of traffic jams was reached on the roads of France on Saturday.

A total almost twice as low as last year at the same time when Bison Futé recorded 1,136 km of traffic jams at the height of the day.

The difficulties are concentrated towards the South.

If traffic is certainly disrupted this Saturday on the roads of France, it is not much compared to last year at this time.

At the height of the day, Bison futé noted a peak of 623 km of traffic jams on July 9 while it had recorded 1,136, or almost double, on July 10, 2021.

As expected, the slowdowns appeared early in the morning on the A7 southbound where up to nearly 100 kilometers of concertina traffic and traffic jams had been noted at the Lyon exit.

According to Bison Futé, the travel time on the Autoroute du Soleil between the south of Lyon and Orange in the Vaucluse, has increased to 3:20 a.m. against 1:35 in normal times, according to its operator Vinci Autoroutes, warning that the axis will be strongly crowded until 7 p.m.

785 km recorded Friday late afternoon

At the same time, traffic on the A10 was also "dense" from Saint-Arnoult in the Yvelines, towards Bordeaux, where it took between 1h30 and 1h45 more to reach the Gironde capital, according to the same source.

Bison Fûté, who had recommended Friday to avoid the Saint-Arnoult toll from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m. and the Orleans-Tours axis between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., for his part noted up to 60 km of traffic jams on this axis.
