During the week, participants from Sweden and five other European countries gathered in Kalmarsundsparken to build their art.

On Friday, almost all the sculptures were finished, almost to the last detail.

But not everything went according to plan.

The artist, Franziska Agrawal from Germany, yesterday saw her sculpture collapse when it was to be taken out of shape.

- A combination of chaos and order.

It is part of the creative process in art.

It does not feel like I have lost anything, it just feels like it has changed, she explains.

Franziwska instead chose to redesign the sculpture and work from what was left after the landslide.

- I am very happy with the result because my art became more three-dimensional when it changed appearance and shape.

Now there is actually more in the story to see, a representation of the current situation in the world.

Rain no problem

Yesterday's rain did not make the participants significantly worried.

An effective method is to spray on a mixture of water and glue to make the sculptures more durable.

The participants Lars Fager and Leif Andersson with the contribution "Own hearth is worth its weight in gold" were well prepared.

- It went well because we had prepared ourselves with a tent that we could tilt over like a protective sail, says Lars.

The sculptures are inaugurated today and will stand as long as they last.

That is, how weather and wind will affect them during the summer.

- We hope that they will stand for a few weeks at least, says Elin Lennholm at the tourist office in Kalmar.

In the pot are two prizes consisting of a prize from the jury and one from the public, which is decided by a vote on social media.

The winners will be announced at the inauguration which starts at 3 pm today.
