He spoke about this during a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with members of the government.

“According to our operational data, over the six months of this year, air travel fell by 9% compared to the same period last year,” Savelyev said.

He noted that the Ministry of Transport and air carriers are making every effort to level the situation.

“In particular, the existing measures of state support make it possible to keep transportation tariffs at the same level,” Savelyev explained.

Earlier, the Federal Air Transport Agency extended until July 12 restrictions on flights to 11 airports in the south and center of Russia.

On May 20, the Russian government allocated more than 1.5 billion rubles to compensate for the operating costs of airports in the south and in the center of Russia.
