"We drive 60 terminals in Belgium before reaching the Ardennes", sums up the race director Thierry Gouvenou about the route which leaves from the town of Binche, at the carnival listed as a UNESCO heritage site and also the headquarters of the Intermarché team. .

"The finish is the same as in 2017 in Longwy, on the heights of the citadel, where Peter Sagan won after taking off his shoes", recalls the course designer about the line installed at the top of the Côte des Religious (1.6 km at 5.8%).

But he adds an important precision: "the notable difference is an 800-meter climb at 12% located 5 kilometers from the finish, which will undoubtedly exclude the sprinters from the game."
