A 39-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man reportedly fled by bus after stealing alcohol from a convenience store in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) on Monday evening.

In the store, the couple seized several bottles before the young man threatened the guard with a knife at the exit.

The two suspects would then have accelerated the pace to the nearby bus stop, says

Witnesses saw them take the 378 bus, however, police said.

Law enforcement also had the description of the couple.

Agents from the Nanterre anti-crime squad finally spotted and arrested the suspects barely an hour after the theft.
