“The overall purpose of this service contract is to provide services aimed at facilitating the work of the Bucharest Office of the Directorate General for Support to Structural Reforms,” the document says.

In particular, the implementer will be required to contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of technical assistance projects, as well as to “watch the situation” in Romania.

The official website of the EC states that the DG Structural Reform Support “helps EU countries design and implement reforms as part of their efforts to promote job creation and sustainable growth.”

Previously, the EC Directorate-General for Enlargement and Neighborhood planned to open a policy and legal advisory center in Montenegro.
