Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stated this at the opening of the Cabinet meeting.

“The agenda of the government meeting includes the issue of providing medicines to privileged categories of citizens.

They receive various drugs, medical products for free - by prescription," TASS quoted him as saying.

Mishustin recalled that this also applies to therapeutic nutrition for children with serious illnesses and disabilities.

“Today, we will distribute almost 2 billion rubles between the regions, which are provided for these purposes in the budget for the current year, and we will allocate additional funds - more than 1 billion rubles,” Mishustin added.

Earlier, a member of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, head of the Expert Council on the regulation of the circulation of medicines and medical devices, Alexander Petrov, in an interview with Parliamentary Newspaper, spoke about measures to support the pharmaceutical industry.
