It was by cross-checking advertisements found on Internet sites that the Gendarmerie Research Brigade was able to locate an apartment.

A property serving as a logistics center for this illegal activity was then located in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre (Seine-et-Marne).

The forties and her companion had been finely arrested on June 21.

Run like a business

The defendant denied any human trafficking, saying that the prostitutes had come forward spontaneously.

His companion, meanwhile, assured that he had remained in the background.

However, he was given a one-year suspended prison sentence.

Organized as a real commercial enterprise, the network would have brought the couple at least 90,000 euros.
