South Korea, the United States, and Japan will hold a trilateral foreign ministers' meeting in Bali, Indonesia on the afternoon of the 8th on the occasion of the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting.

Ahn Eun-joo, deputy spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a regular briefing today, "At this summit, the three ministers plan to discuss trilateral cooperation plans on regional and global challenges, including the North Korean issue, based on the results of the South Korea-U.S.-Japan summit held last week."

It is the first in five months since the foreign ministers' meeting between the US and Japan was held in Hawaii in February.

It is the first time since Park Jin took office as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Deputy Spokesperson Ahn said, "It has not been decided at this time" as to whether the Korea-Japan Foreign Ministers' Meeting will be promoted as an opportunity for the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting.

It is known that Minister Park and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi are more likely to meet briefly at the G20 meeting rather than formally meeting at the G20 meeting.
