Due to Sweden's NATO membership, the west coast may in the future notice military activity to a greater extent.
The Baltic Sea and its inlets play a central role, says Minister of Defense Peter Hultqvist (S).
He wants to see an agreement between Sweden, Norway and Denmark that commits the countries to work together to protect the west coast and the Baltic Sea.

Sweden will spend about 1.2 percent of GDP on defense in 2022, but must up to 2 percent by 2025.
