As Yanukovych said in an appeal published on social networks, it seems to him that “today, more than ever, an adequate assessment of the situation and respect for the most diverse opinions of Ukrainian citizens are required.”
“Citizens themselves must make a choice - to fight to the last Ukrainian or try to save what is left,” RIA Novosti quotes him.
According to Yanukovych, it is important to give everyone who has constructive proposals an opportunity to speak and to give the world a chance.
He noted that "this will save the lives of Ukrainians and save the future for Ukraine."
Earlier, Yanukovych said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had abandoned his proposed plan for resolving the situation in the Donbass.
