The deadline for the investigation of the case is set to October 5.
On July 6, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the assistant to the head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sergei Umnov, the head of the traffic police department for St. Petersburg, Alexei Semyonov, and the former deputy head of the St. Petersburg main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ivan Abakumov, were detained.
