Just before 2 pm on Wednesday, the police were alerted to a knife attack in Visby.
The woman was seriously injured and died later in the evening.
During the evening, the Cathedral's doors are open.
- It can provide security and there is also a preparedness here with people who can listen and harbor what is happening, says Petra Guteskär, pastor of Visby church and parish.
