Swedish police today announced that a woman in her 60s was killed in a knife attack in broad daylight on the island of Gotland, where the country's top politicians meet for a week.
"Unfortunately, I can inform you that a woman has succumbed to her injuries," Gotland Police Chief Fredrik Persson told a news conference where it was made clear that the assault occurred shortly before 2 p.m.
He added that a 33-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident, but declined to comment on any possible motive.

media outlet , the man arrested for the Almedalen knife attack is a 33-year-old Nazi. Police do not want to comment on whether the man's activities linked to right-wing extremism have anything to do with the act.
In social networks, the man has expressed in several cases that he denies that the Holocaust had occurred, says the aforementioned medium.
