• Trial The alleged murderer of Marta Calvo spoke months before her disappearance of "a good place to dispose of a corpse"

Marta Calvo's mother,

Marisol Burón

, denounced this Wednesday that a defense witness "is bought".

She has done it minutes before she starts one of the decisive sessions of the trial that is being held in

Valencia

against the only person accused of the death of her daughter and two other women.

In the case of Marta Calvo, who disappeared in November 2019, her body never appeared.

"What I am clear about is that she is whole," Burón insisted in statements to the media, despite the fact that the alleged murderer,

Jorge Ignacio Palma

, turned himself in 21 days after the disappearance of the young woman in Manuel (Valencia), saying that he had dismembered her but not killed her.

He said he found her dead in her bed after a "white party" session, in which he allegedly introduced high-purity cocaine into her genitals.

One of the witnesses who testified on Tuesday, and who said that he was a neighbor of the young woman for a few months, assured that she was a regular user of cocaine.

Did you know that Marta was a cocaine user?

"Yes, because she told me and I saw it too," replied this witness, who also claimed to have had sexual relations with Marta Calvo.

"I saw that she had an addiction problem, a dependency on that substance," he insisted.

The young woman's mother, however, has flatly denied it this Wednesday: "My daughter was not dependent on drugs. She would consume sporadically because she was 25 years old."

"As a mother it hurts me a lot to hear lies," Burón lamented.

For this reason, he has raised the suspicion that this man was a "witness bought by the defense".

"He said they would pay him," Burón pointed out.

In fact, one of the lawyers for the accusations asked this witness if she had spoken before with Jorge Ignacio Palma's lawyer.

"What I have discussed with Jorge's lawyer is that the transportation costs would be paid to me," she said.
