"Brandon Lewis has resigned as Minister for Northern Ireland, becoming the third prime minister's cabinet minister to resign," RIA Novosti quoted the radio station on social media as saying.
On the eve it became known that British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak and his colleague, Health Minister Sajid Javid, resigned.
After that, five more ministers resigned and called on British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to resign.
The prime minister stressed that he did not intend to resign, as he was asked to do so by the members of the government who left their post.
