819,000 doses of the second component of Sputnik V have been delivered to the Argentine healthcare system

The drug has already been distributed to medical institutions and will be used as part of the national program to combat coronavirus infection.

As Russian President Vladimir Putin noted in February, Argentina became the first country in the Western Hemisphere to register Russia's Sputnik V vaccine.

In December 2021, Argentina also approved the use of the Sputnik Light single-component vaccine, and in 2021 RDIF and Laboratorios Richmond launched the production of Sputnik V in Argentina.
