As the opposition and opposition parties could not find a point of contact during the weekend floor leadership meeting, weight was put on the possibility of the Democratic Party's sole election of the National Assembly Speaker until yesterday morning.

[Park Hong-geun / Democratic Party floor leader: The minimum procedure for the election of the National Assembly Speaker, which is the minimum procedure for the legislative process and holding a personnel hearing, has to be handled at the plenary session today.]

However, as the people's power puts up new conditions at the end of the emergency meeting of the National Assembly, the negotiations escalated. I rode

[Kwon Seong-dong/People's Power Floor Representative: If we promise to handle the election of the standing chairperson under the agreement of the ruling and opposition parties, we will cooperate with the election of the chairperson...

.]

A dramatic agreement was reached in 35 days as the Democrats accepted it.

At the plenary session attended by both the opposition and opposition parties, Kim Jin-pyo, a fifth-term Democratic Party member, was elected as the Speaker of the National Assembly for the second half of the year, and Kim Young-joo and Jeong Jin-seok were elected as vice-chairs.

Chairman Kim suggested that we first form two special committees: the people's livelihood economy and personnel hearings.

[Kim Jin-pyo / Speaker of the National Assembly: The second half of the National Assembly started a month late, so there is no time to hesitate.] With

this agreement, the presidency, which is the first step in the normalization of the National Assembly, was formed, but the spark of conflict is still alive.

The issue of the distribution of consensus among the standing chairpersons including the chairperson of the Judiciary, which is a requirement of the people's power, and the issue of the formation of a special judicial reform committee for the establishment of the Korean version of the FBI, which the Democratic Party has demanded, must be negotiated from now on.

In particular, with regard to the special committee on private affairs, both the opposition and the opposition are insisting that they bring the chairperson, so it is predicted that the conflict may explode again in the future negotiation process.
