The strike movement started last week by airport staff will continue next weekend, particularly at Roissy.

Among the strikers, the baggage handlers, who are asking for salary and staff increases.

Result: blocked luggage, which some travelers have been waiting for several days.

After a first strike action last week, airport staff will be on strike again next weekend.

Thousands of travelers are at risk of having their flights canceled or delayed.

Already last week, some who were able to take their plane, however, were unable to recover their suitcase because of the baggage handlers' strike.

They are asking for salary increases and more staff.

Result: it's been four days that passengers have been waiting for their bags, stored in the airport.

Only one solution: to take his pain in patience.

“I had to buy everything back”

Since returning from the United States last Friday, Christian still has not collected his luggage.

"It's a big suitcase with all my stuff, it's rather annoying", explains the Vauclusien, stranded in the capital for four days.

"I made a forced stay in Paris. Luckily I had my wallet on me, I had to buy clothes, toiletries, to last a few days..."

At the Air France counter, Oumar would like to know how to retrieve his sister's suitcase, who has gone to Spain for a few days.

"It's very complicated for her. In her suitcase, there are the keys to her car, her house...", he lists.

Like theirs, hundreds of bags are still stuck and at this time it is unclear when they will be re-routed.

Two more weekend strikes for baggage handlers?

"This luggage is stored in the hangars, in the basements of Roissy. Some are stored in containers, on the tarmac", explains the secretary general of the CGT Air France.

“I think that with the number of people there and the number of bags that have to be transported, it will be very complicated. We cannot know if they will find them during their holidays or when they return.

The baggage handlers' strike could be renewed for the next two weekends.
