Kim Seung-hee, a candidate for Minister of Health and Welfare, resigned after 39 days of nomination.

He is the third candidate for the current government minister, following Kim In-cheol for education and Jeong Ho-young for welfare minister.

When candidate Kim was a member of the National Assembly in his 20s, suspicions were raised that he used political funds for his official car deposit.

Candidate Kim said in his statement of resignation, "I will accept the point of management responsibility," even though it was "a practical error in the accounting process."

Shortly after Kim resigned, President Yoon Seok-yeol approved the appointments of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Park Soon-ae and Kim Seung-gyeom as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

This is the second and third cases in which the current government has been appointed without a personnel hearing after Kim Chang-gi, the head of the National Tax Service.

Seoul National University professor Song Ok-ryeol, who was nominated as a candidate for the Fair Trade Commission, worked as a lawyer at Kim & Chang Law Firm after passing the judicial, administrative, and foreign affairs examinations as a classmate of President Yoon's Judicial Research and Training Institute.

However, in September 2014, allegations were raised that Song made sexually harassing remarks, such as criticizing the appearance of her students.

The presidential office said that it had confirmed the past controversy during the verification process, and said that candidate Song apologized at the time and took into account the fact that there was no separate disposition from the school, but the opposition party criticized it as another insolvent person created to fill the government with an acquaintance of the president.
