“We should not see the IT industry in isolation, but should understand that it is the basis on which all industries of production will be based in the near future.

So this is the core industry.

It must be supported by all measures, since it is a strategic basis that creates the economic and any other security of the state... It must be developed in the shortest possible time and on the basis of import substitution,” the expert stressed.

The economist rated the proposed measures as "timely and effective."

“They concern not just additional injections, but relate to the reduction of the tax burden, a business environment is being created where this industry can develop quite successfully,” concluded the RT interlocutor.

Earlier it was reported that the State Duma adopted a law containing tax support measures to stimulate the development of the Russian IT industry.

It is noted that the document establishes an investment tax deduction for the costs of installing, testing, adapting and modifying software and databases included in the unified register of Russian software, as well as fixed assets included in the unified register of Russian radio electronic products.

The deduction will also be provided for the costs of training employees who maintain such software, databases and objects.
