A man was killed on Monday, shortly before midnight, about 700 m from the Part-Dieu station (Lyon 3rd).

, he was electrocuted on the rail network, at track A. He was discovered on an electric pole, and his body was burning when help arrived.

The victim has not yet been identified and an investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of this tragedy.

According to the first elements of the investigations, it would be an accident, the man having a priori wanted to climb a pylon supporting the catenaries.

He would then have come into contact with cables.
