It was belatedly known that President Yoon Seok-yeol's visit to Spain was accompanied by the wife of Lee Won-mo, the presidential secretary for personnel affairs.

The secretary's wife is a civilian, not an employee of the President's Office.

The presidential office said that it had participated in the tour as an envoy and that there was no legal problem, but it seems difficult to avoid criticism that it is inappropriate.

President Yun Seok-yeol visited Spain for 3 nights and 5 days to attend the NATO summit.

It was confirmed that Shin Mo, a woman with civilian status, was accompanying him on this tour itinerary.

At the beginning of last month, Shin visited Spain as a member of a preliminary expedition team with the staff of the presidential office, and it is known that she arrived at the site first as an advance team five days before President Yoon's departure from Spain.

There were also suspicions that he had helped President Yoon's wife, Kim Kun-hee, on the schedule.

Shin is the wife of Lee Won-mo, the presidential personnel secretary.

Although she ultimately failed, it is said that the president's office also considered hiring Mr. Shin, who is known to be close with President Yoon and his wife, as an administrative officer of the affiliated office.

Shin, who served as a director of a related company as the daughter of the president of a famous oriental medical foundation, resigned as a registered director on April 30, ahead of the inauguration of President Yoon.

The presidential office said that Mr. Shin supported the planning of various events during the tour as an attendant and went through all administrative procedures legally.

However, as it was confirmed that Kim Gun-hee's visit to Bonghama was accompanied by an acquaintance of Mrs. Kim, followed by the fact that a civilian, Mr. Shin, accompanied the tour schedule, which is a matter of security, the controversy over the so-called 'non-ship assistant' is expected to intensify.
