American media reported that 5 people were killed and 19 injured in a shooting incident at a motorcade during the celebration of American Independence Day near Chicago, Illinois, USA.
The Lake County law enforcement official's office said a shooting took place in the path of an Independence Day parade in the upscale Chicago suburb of Highland Park.
State police said they had begun assisting Highland Park security services in their search for the shooter, who is still at large, and called on the public to avoid the area where the suspect is being sought in the city.
