According to him, Uzbekistan is an ally for Russia, a friendly country and a very important partner. 

“Everything that happens in Uzbekistan is the internal affair of this country,” Peskov said.

He added that Moscow has no doubt that with the active work of the leadership of Uzbekistan, the existing problems will be resolved.

Earlier it became known that during the riots in the capital of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Nukus, on July 1 and 2, 18 people died, 243 were injured (94 of them are in hospitals).

On July 1, protests were held in Nukus over the constitutional reform.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan reported that order had been restored in Karakalpakstan, work was underway with the protesters.
