“The defense of the Lisichansk-Severodonetsk agglomeration is a successful military operation,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, its main goals were to inflict losses on the enemy, buy time for the supply of Western weapons and improve the second line of defense, and create conditions for offensive operations in other sectors of the front.
Arestovich expressed confidence that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would be able to regain control over Lisichansk.
Earlier, the head of the Lugansk People's Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, said that no one would give the liberated territories of the republic to anyone.
He also noted that in order to ensure the security of the LPR, the enemy must be moved to a distance from which it is impossible to fire at the republic from artillery and MLRS.
