A 49-year-old man, a resident of Pamplona, died tonight after
the vehicle he was driving in the municipality of Bera
plunged into the Bidasoa river .
As reported by the Civil Guard, the event occurred around 10:00 p.m. at
kilometer 65.5 of the N-121-A road
, where the vehicle left the road on its left bank and later fell into the river.
In the road accident, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 49-year-old man from Pamplona, died, whose body was rescued from the river
by firefighters
and later transferred to the Pamplona Forensic Anatomical Institute.
The vehicle will be removed from the Bidasoa River bed this Sunday morning, the same sources explain.
