The consulate noted that on July 3, the shark was spotted near one of the beaches within the city of Hurghada.

“In this regard, we ask Russian citizens to remain vigilant while in the water, strictly guided by the bans imposed by the Egyptian authorities on swimming, diving and fishing on the high seas and off the coast,” the diplomatic mission’s Telegram channel says.

Earlier, the Egyptian Ministry of the Environment reported another dead woman as a result of a shark attack in the Hurghada area.

Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad instructed experts to collect information in order to establish the causes of the behavior of sharks.

On July 1, it became known that a shark attacked a tourist from Austria in the Egyptian resort of Hurghada.
