“In order to prevent the importation of infection into the territory of the Russian Federation, within the framework of the Sanitary Shield system, double temperature control is carried out for passengers arriving from countries endemic for monkeypox, on board and in terminals,” RIA Novosti was told at the scientific center.

It is clarified that if a passenger has a fever, then airport doctors are called to the place, who make a diagnosis and decide on further hospitalization.

In the event of a similar situation, questionnaires are collected from all passengers on the flight and transferred to the territorial bodies of Rospotrebnadzor in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation for medical monitoring of contact persons.

Earlier, the WHO representative in Russia, Melita Vujnovic, said that mass vaccination against monkeypox on Russian territory is not required at the moment.
