"We regret to inform you that six defenders of the Donetsk People's Republic were killed and ten defenders of the Donetsk People's Republic were injured in the performance of military duty in the struggle for independence," the ministry said in a statement.
Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired several missiles at Donetsk from Uragan multiple launch rocket systems.
Two people were hurt.
Between June 24 and 30, ten people were killed and 42 civilians were injured in the DPR.
