Ketanji Jackson has been appointed as the new judge of the United States Supreme Court, creating the first black women's Supreme Court in American history.

On the 30th, the liberal Ketanji Jackson, who had been nominated by President Biden as a new judge, attended the oath ceremony and took office in the US Supreme Court.

Jackson became the first black female judge in the 230-year history of the Federal Supreme Court.

President Biden congratulated the statement, "Today's historic inauguration is an important step forward for young black women and all Americans."

Jackson replaced the retired liberal male judge that day, making it the most female of the nine judges to date.

Last month, the Supreme Court overturned a decision about 50 years ago that abortion was a constitutional right, and that New York state law restricting the carrying of fist guns was unconstitutional. However, even with the inauguration of Mr. Jackson, the composition of the majority of the nine conservatives is unchanged, with six conservatives and three liberals.
