Collaboration, Interpol's raison d'être, is not always simple.

Not everyone plays the game. According to several confidences, during judicial investigations, some Interpol offices do not always respond favorably to requests from their counterparts.

It has happened that requests for the release or extradition of wanted persons remain unanswered.

Make cooperation more effective

The six recommendations adopted in Cotonou insist on the mobilization, the active and collective support necessary for good cooperation and results.

The participants also want the analysis file on financial crime to be supplied with information, to know everything about the people and companies involved in criminal activities.

The final document also gives avenues for recovering stolen assets resulting from criminal activities.

He makes a point of sharing information through secure platforms

There was no specific resolution on the fight against terrorism, but the meeting did mention and deal with it.

There were four presentations on the subject, presented by Ghana, Burkina, Democratic Congo and the Secretary General of Interpol.
