  At 8:00 a.m. that day, the "Tai Po District Flag Raising Ceremony" co-organized by the Tai Po Community Association, the Tai Po District Committee of the New Territories Federation of Societies and the Tai Po District Office was held at the Tai Po Waterfront Park Amphitheatre.

The organizer invited the silver band of the Hong Kong Youth Marching Band to play the national anthem and the flag-bearer to raise the flag.

Hundreds of citizens watched the ceremony and shared the joy of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.

  A flag-raising ceremony was also held at the Tsuen Wan Alexandra Community Centre in the morning on the same day. It was hosted by the Tsuen Wan Community Celebration Committee and 130 guests from the political and business circles, as well as a number of residents in the district attended.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the honor guard of the Hong Kong Youth Army Association escorted the national flag and the regional flag of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region into the venue. With the playing of the national anthem, the national flag was slowly raised, and the people on the scene stood up and saluted the national flag.

  The North District Committee of the Hong Kong Federation of New Territories Associations held a flag-raising ceremony at Sheung Shui Handover Memorial Park, attended by regional community leaders, rural community leaders, rural representatives and more than 500 North District residents.

After the ceremony, the organizer placed 25 large-scale return exhibition boards in the park for citizens to visit and check in.

  At the Cheung Fat Sports Centre in Tsing Yi, the Kwai Tsing Development Volunteer Group, Kwai Tsing District Office, Kwai Tsing Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kwai Tsing Branch) co-organized the "25 Years of Return to Kwai Tsing New Chapter" flag-raising ceremony.

About 200 residents of the district attended the ceremony, and the organizers specially invited 25 young people and children born between 1997 and 2022 to participate.

  The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) held a flag-raising ceremony at 10:00 on the same day. Dr. Li Kwok-cheung, Vice Chairman of the PolyU Council, Dr. Gan Ng Yu-ying, Chairman of the University Advisory Committee, together with a number of PolyU management and more than 800 teachers and students attended.

  At 11:00 on the same day, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology also held a flag-raising ceremony.

The honor guard passed the school road with their heads held high, and entered the flag-raising platform. The teachers and students who participated in the flag-raising ceremony stood and sang the national anthem, watching the national flag, the Hong Kong SAR regional flag and the school flag being raised together, congratulating Hong Kong on the 25th anniversary of its return to the motherland.
