The U.S. federal court said on the 29th that if convicted of multiple crimes, the truck driver could face up to life imprisonment or the death penalty.

  According to reports, the truck driver of the immigrant massacre was named Homero Zamorano Jr., a 45-year-old Texas native.

Zamorano was arrested near the crime scene on the 27th after he tried to escape by posing as the victim.

On the 29th, another 28-year-old man named Christian Martinez was arrested, the person may be Zamorano's accomplice.

A day earlier, police detained two Mexican men in connection with the case near a house where the incident occurred and found multiple firearms in their residence.
