“I am proposing to send a peacekeeping contingent of the armed forces with a total strength of about 430 military personnel to participate in the UN multidisciplinary integrated stabilization mission in the Central African Republic, in the UN stabilization mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in Mali and in the mission of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon,” — such a proposal was voiced at a meeting of parliament by the leader of Kazakhstan.

According to the agency, the Parliament of Kazakhstan agreed with this proposal. 

Earlier, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, stated the need to strengthen the role of the United Nations (UN) in the world in the face of geopolitical tensions.
