“As a result of the fire damage to the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Berestovoye and Avdeevka of the DPR, irretrievable losses in the units of the 14th mechanized and 56th motorized infantry brigades amounted to more than 50%,” said the official representative of the Russian defense department Igor Konashenkov.
He added that these units of Ukrainian troops were taken to the rear in order to restore their combat capability.
Konashenkov also said that due to high losses and unsatisfactory supply of the 34th battalion of the 57th motorized infantry brigade, 13 military personnel, including officers, left their positions without permission in a day.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Aerospace Forces of Russia over the past day eliminated more than 80 foreign fighters in Nikolaev.
