“The inadmissibility of the practice of replicating deliberately false information through statements by officials of the United Kingdom, in particular about the “threats to use nuclear weapons” allegedly voiced by the Russian side, is indicated,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
On June 29, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused British Defense Minister Ben Wallace of slander and spreading fake news after a military official said that the Russian diplomat allegedly "threatened everyone with nuclear bombs."
The diplomat asked the British minister to give examples of her statements, which Wallace talks about.
The British minister claimed that Zakharova “threatened to destroy everyone with a nuclear bomb or do something else” every week, and also made insulting remarks about the Russian diplomat.
