According to a proposal from the Uppsala Region, the nurses at Tierp's emergency department are planned to be responsible for the patients at the adjacent emergency department at night.

At the ward, patients who need short-term care at the primary care level must be cared for.

According to the nurses, this new responsibility would impair the well-being of both patients and workers.

- We feel that they do not listen to us, says Jessica Danielsson, nurse at Tierp's emergency department.

"Do not want to precede the process"

Torun Hall, Administrative Director at Near Care and Health at the Uppsala Region, does not appear for an interview, but gives a written comment:

“I do not want to precede the trade union collaboration process, as the proposal has not been fully co-operated.

Only when the collaboration is complete can we make a decision.

Our goal is to create a business that is good for the population in Tierp and Älvkarleby and that is also good for the employees' work environment. ”
