There was great outrage on social media following the visit of the Indian Prime Minister to the country, weeks after members of the ruling party in India issued statements offensive to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him).

Activists and tweeters criticized the reception of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, considering it a provocative step that raises many questions about offending the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), surprising that the statements were not protested or talked about.

A few weeks ago, two members of Modi's ruling Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) made statements offensive to the Holy Prophet's shrine, as well as similar statements by other Hindu figures.

Upon Modi's arrival in Abu Dhabi, he said - in a tweet on his official Twitter account - "I was touched by a special gesture from my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to come to welcome me at Abu Dhabi Airport. I am grateful to him."

On the other hand, the tweet of the Emirati academic Abdul Khaleq Abdullah sparked many interactions on social media platforms;

He said in it, “He came to offer condolences and congratulations, so welcome to him,” to which one of the tweeters replied, “Neither welcome nor easy with him, the enemy of Muslims who incites them in India and Kashmir, and protects the abusers of the Messenger.”

After the Prime Minister of India Modi clamped down on Muslims, demolished their mosques and homes, and insulted the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the UAE receives him today to strengthen the comprehensive strategic and economic partnership between the two countries as a reward for Modi for his war on Muslims and this is how the Emirates are, wherever war against Muslims is found!!

rage

The Islamic world witnessed a state of anger after the statements that came out of the ruling party in India, which prompted the party to suspend the membership of its spokeswoman Noupur Sharma, and the party’s spokesman Naveen Kumar Jindal was dismissed, and the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said at the time that the speakers’ statements do not reflect in any way. Government opinions.

Modi is known for his hostility to Muslims, especially after he ordered the police not to attack Hindus during the Gujarat massacres in February 2002. Modi was later described as the "Emperor of Hindu Hearts", and this fame helped him to emerge within the ruling party until he was nominated to lead him in the 2014 elections.

Immediately after coming to power, Modi unleashed Hindu extremists to persecute Muslims and restrict them in various ways.

This was manifested in the killing of hundreds of Muslims on charges of eating or slaughtering beef, attacking others on charges of converting Hindus to Islam, tempting Hindu women to marry Muslims, opposing the veil of Muslim students, prohibiting the sale of halal meat, removing Islamic names for cities, villages and streets, and placing names Hinduism instead.

These measures also include changing school books by removing any material that praises Muslims and introducing insulting material to them, amending the Nationality Law to deprive millions of Muslims of Indian citizenship, as well as calls for the extermination of Muslims in India, demolishing their homes and shops and storming their neighborhoods.

The hashtag #We reject Modi's visit is now leading in the #UAE
