The Pietrosella gendarmerie brigade (Corse-du-Sud) was the target of several molotov cocktails overnight from Wednesday to Thursday without causing any damage, we learned from the Ajaccio prosecutor's office.

Several "AFF" tags (A Francia Fora, France outside, editor's note) and FLNC were also found at the scene, said the prosecution.

An investigation was opened for degradation by dangerous means.

The research section of the Corsican gendarmerie was seized.

The National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office (Pnat) has been informed and an assessment of the Anti-Terrorist Sub-Directorate (Sdat) is underway.

The Pietrosella gendarmerie brigade had already been the target of an explosive attack in 1997. It was during this attack that the weapon used in the assassination of the prefect Erignac on February 6, 1998 had been stolen.
