“In order to maintain good neighborly relations, the head of state decided to introduce a temporary visa-free entry procedure for Polish citizens,” the committee’s website says.

In May, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry announced that the Belarusian side was extending the right of visa-free entry into the country for citizens of Latvia and Lithuania until the end of 2022.

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry noted that such a constructive approach, based primarily on the interests of ordinary people, can serve as a guide "for Western neighbors in terms of finding ways to normalize relations and the difficult situation in the region."
