The story begins on the island of Mayotte.

Following an investigation, cannabis trafficking has been dismantled in Lyon.

A 26-year-old man and his partner were arrested on Wednesday in the Vaise district of Lyon.

He is suspected of having bought the drug in France and of having sent it by parcel to his brother who was responsible for reselling the goods on the spot, in Mayotte.

Placed in police custody, the man, well known to the police, admitted to having sent around thirty wafers of cannabis to his brother, for an estimated profit of 22,500 euros.

He bought each plate for 450 euros in order to resell them for 1,200 euros each.

Travel to Dubai

His companion had knowledge of the traffic.

She admitted to having taken advantage of the money to pay for her living expenses and to afford several trips, including a stay in Dubai.

The couple is the subject of an appearance on prior admission of guilt scheduled for next February.

They will also be presented before a judicial police officer at the same time.
