The Kommersant newspaper writes about this.

According to her, air carriers are asking the department to cancel the new rules for passing passengers across the state border.

According to them, airlines are responsible for the protection and maintenance of foreigners at airports who have been denied entry to Russia.

The Association of Air Transport Operators reportedly asked the Ministry of Transport to clarify what is meant by "responsibility for the protection of passengers and crew members."

Companies also say they do not have such powers and express fears that their costs for airport services will increase.

Earlier, the Ministry of Transport announced that it would fully reimburse passengers for canceled flights from February 24 to July 1 on domestic routes.
