Zelensky threatened Syria with a break in relations due to the recognition of the LPR and the DPR

He made this statement in his video message on social networks.

“In this case, there will be no more relations with Syria, and the sanctions pressure against Syria, on the contrary, will be even greater,” Zelensky is quoted by TASS.

Earlier, the SANA agency, citing the Syrian Foreign Ministry, reported that the Syrian Foreign Ministry announced the decision of Damascus to recognize the independence of the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics.

LPR Ambassador to Russia Rodion Miroshnik said that Syria's recognition of the independence and sovereignty of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics has not yet been formalized on paper.
