On June 29, Indonesian President Joko Widodo arrived in Kyiv, where he met with Zelensky.

At a briefing after the meeting, Widodo said that he had conveyed an invitation to Zelensky to personally attend the G20 summit.

“Thank you for your personal invitation to participate in the G20 Summit and of course I accept this offer.

Ukraine's participation will depend on the security situation in Ukraine and the composition of the summit participants," Zelensky said, quoted by RIA Novosti.

As Yury Ushakov, aide to the head of the Russian state, said earlier, the Russian side received an invitation to the G20 summit, Moscow will proceed from this in the matter of the presence of President Vladimir Putin at the event.

He also wondered why Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi made a statement that the Indonesian authorities "rule out" the personal presence of Putin.

Ushakov noted that Draghi "probably forgot that he was no longer the chairman."
