Fifteen years ago, the member states signed a long-term treaty of good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation, stipulating mutual respect for the development path chosen by each other, and reaffirming the cooperation principle of non-alignment, non-confrontation, and non-targeting of third parties. Its vision was fixed in the form of law, giving the "Shanghai Spirit" a new connotation of the times, and playing an exemplary role for countries with different civilizations and different development models to live in harmony and achieve win-win cooperation.
Wang Yi stressed that it is precisely under the guidance of the Charter and the Treaty that the SCO has not forgotten its original aspiration, adhered to its mission, promoted the continuous improvement and upgrading of regional cooperation, and blazed a trail of success for a new type of regional organization. important contribution to the community.
The world is now entering a new period of turbulence and change. China is willing to work with the SCO member states to vigorously promote the "Shanghai Spirit", to have the courage to solve the problems of the times, to demonstrate due responsibilities, and to promote the building of a closer SCO community with a shared future.
