A choice made because of "the evolution of mentalities"

As it had already announced last February, the company Adventure Line Productions (ALP) has chosen to withdraw the last two felines, Kashmir and Tosca, to replace them with animations in order to keep the spirit of the game.

For the production company, this is a logical choice in 2022, given the "changing mentality" and the general awareness around animal welfare.

“The tigers will interact with the candidates”

“At first we thought of putting archival images of tigers but we thought it would be weird for the public, since they knew that the animals were no longer there, explained Guillaume Ramain, artistic producer of Fort Boyard.

We finally opted for statues of tigers in the treasure room and we decided to animate them to bring them to life.

»

In total, it took four months of work for the French studio Seed Factory to achieve these animations.

“The tigers will interact with the contestants during the show, sometimes it will be funny or disturbing.

For example, they will lick their chops when the candidates run past them,” added Guillaume Ramain.
