A few rays of sunshine in the afternoon

On Friday we will find overcast and often rainy weather from the South-West to the Belgian border.

The rains will be temporarily marked and sometimes mixed with thunderclaps from Limousin and western Auvergne to the east of Ile-de-France and Hauts-de-France to Champagne-Ardenne.

On the south-west, the precipitation will be weaker and will allow a few rays of sun to pass in the afternoon in the plain.

The foothills and the relief of the Pyrenees will remain busier until the evening.

From the Channel coasts to Poitou-Charentes, the sky will be more changeable, shared between sunny spells and cloudy periods bringing showers.

These will be more frequent and locally stormy on the Atlantic coasts in the morning, then inland as far as the Paris region in the afternoon.

To the east, the morning will still be bright, mostly overcast.

But the weather will become threatening in the afternoon: stormy showers will break out in eastern Auvergne and Lyonnais on the German borders.

Stormy activity could become locally strong at the end of the day with a risk of heavy rain, hail and gusts, especially from Lyonnais to Franche-Comté to Alsace.

Thermometers between 28 and 32 degrees

On the Mediterranean border, the sun will resist despite some overflows in high clouds.

The Tramontana will rise and approach 70 km/h in gusts in the evening.

Minimum temperatures will show 9 to 13 degrees over the northwestern half, 11 to 16 over the east and southwest, up to 16 and 21 over the Mediterranean regions.

In the afternoon, the thermometers will climb between 28 and 32 degrees from the west of Lorraine and from Alsace to the east of Rhône-Alpes before the stormy outbreaks.

It will also be 26 to 32 degrees around the Gulf of Lion to the southeast.

Everywhere else, temperatures will drop sharply and will only exceed 17 to 22 degrees.
