China News Service, Beijing, June 29 (Reporter Li Jingze) Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian hosted a regular press conference on the 29th.

A reporter asked a question about the U.S. government's inclusion of five Chinese companies on the "entity list" for allegedly supporting the construction of Russia's military and defense industrial bases.

Zhao Lijian: The U.S. sanctions and suppresses Chinese companies on the grounds of "supporting the construction of Russia's military and defense industrial bases". This move has no basis in international law or authorization from the Security Council. It is a unilateral sanctions and long-arm jurisdiction by the U.S. side.

The Chinese side has always been firmly opposed, and we have lodged solemn representations with the US side.

The normal economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit should not be interfered or restricted by any third party.

When handling relations with Russia, the United States must not harm China's legitimate interests in any way.

We urge the U.S. side to immediately correct its mistakes, revoke relevant sanctions, and stop long-arm jurisdiction and unilateral sanctions against Chinese companies.

China will take all necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.
