Last week, six people were charged with violent rioting in connection with the events in Ronneby in August 2020.

The preliminary investigation against the suspects is over a thousand pages long and the evidence also contains an hour-long video material, with films taken both by the suspects and by witnesses.

Started in Malmö

Information in the investigation shows that the incident with Koran burning and riots in Malmö the night before was the origin of what then happened in Ronneby.

Among other things, it has been possible to find film clips and calls to strike back at the police in several of the suspects' phones.

There are also other things in the phones that reveal the suspects.

Several applications, including a health app, have been able to show how they moved during the current evening.

Changed clothes

That the incident was planned is also confirmed by the fact that several of the now accused were in contact with each other already during the day before the riots started in Ronneby.

According to the preliminary investigation, at least one of the men must also have changed clothes on three occasions during the evening and night - probably in order to make identification more difficult.
